New LENS Therapy at Oasis for Everything Brain

While we have had neurofeedback therapy available at Oasis Family Medicine since 2017, it is always our goal to offer the most up-to-date therapies available. The previous neurofeedback system we had was a good one, but it became more difficult to manage, so it became obvious that it was time to find a different option. I went on a year-long search for a new (and hopefully better) neurofeedback system. Hence, LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback System) is now one of the therapies offered here at Oasis.

LENS is a unique and effective form of neurofeedback technology that utilizes real-time brain waves to help alleviate symptoms, optimize functioning, and reclaim neurological and physiological potential. Rather than being used to treat specific diagnoses, LENS addresses underlying problem areas such as mood, cognition, motor skills, anxiety, pain, fatigue and performance optimization, as well as other underlying functional problems. It may be utilized as the primary treatment approach, or as an adjunct to other therapies. Results are lasting and can be seen quickly, often beginning within the first session.

So who would benefit from LENS therapy? Anyone with a brain 🧠, LOL! All kidding aside, patients of all ages, from young children (3 months old) to the elderly, have benefited greatly from LENS. Considering that nearly 9 out of every 100 U.S. children are now diagnosed with a developmental disability, perhaps this LENS therapy should be highly considered. 

I want you to be well-informed and educated on this new neurofeedback system, and while I believe that anyone can benefit from neurofeedback therapy, I recommend that you ask your main provider about whether LENS would be a suitable therapy for you. The potential benefits of LENS therapy are huge, and the potential downsides are negligent, so I encourage you to explore your options with your main provider. In addition, it is covered by Medicare, so that is a plus.
